About KreativeSpill

KreativeSpill A/S was founded in 2011 by CEO Jørgen Thrane and Creative Director OJ Kielland. With several years of experience in the gaming industry each, KreativeSpill has since grown to five full-time employees, with additional contracted support members also in the company’s employ.

KreativeSpill’s first project was to create a method of digital display for the 2013 stage presentation of Pippi Longstocking (link in Norwegian) for Oslo Innovation Week at Christiania Theatre in Norway. Using state-of-the-art digital displays, KreativeSpill brought a unique and vibrant vision of this beloved children’s play to life, opening to rave reviews.

Additionally, KreativeSpill has created and released the game Halatafl, available on the iTunes and Google Play stores (see link for free, in-browser, playable demo). This digital version of the game often referred to as “viking chess” served as a fully-featured proof of concept title for the company and has generated much positive feedback for the company. Currently in revision, a major update to Halatafl should be available soon, adding multiplayer functionality and more to the title.

Norse Noir: Loki’s Exile, a classic point-and-click adventure game, is KreativeSpill’s latest endeavor, and has already garnered major attention. In early 2014 Loki’s Exile was chosen as a grant recipient by the Norwegian Film Institute (link in Norwegian), securing a partial-funding grant for over fifty thousand dollars. This grant has enabled the majority of production seen on Loki’s Exile thus far, and has also been instrumental in generating early press and media buzz surrounding the project.

Though Loki’s Exile has been partially funded to date, we are seeking additional funding through crowd-sourced methods to ensure we are able to finish the title. Our Kickstarter is coming soon, and we would love to have your support in the form of pre-ordering Norse Noir: Loki’s Exile. Information will be edited to this post as soon as the kickstarter is live.
